Remembering Allah......Always

This is a beautiful story. May our hearts open by it.

An old man lived on a farm in the mountains of eastern
Kentucky with his young grandson.

Each morning Grandpa was up early sitting at the
kitchen table reading his Qur'an.

His grandson wanted to be just like him and tried to
imitate him in every way he could.

One day the grandson asked, 'Grandpa! I try to read
the Qur'an just like you but I don't understand it,
and what I do understand I forget as soon as I close
the book.

What good does reading the Qur'an do?'

The Grandfather quietly turned from putting coal in
the stove and replied, 'Take this coal basket down to
the river and bring me back a basket of water.'

The boy did as he was told, but all the water leaked
out before he got back to the house.

The grandfather laughed and said, 'You'll have to move
a little faster next time,' and sent him back to the
river with the basket to try again.

This time the boy ran faster, but again the basket was
empty before he returned home.

Out of breath, he told his grandfather that it was
impossible to carry water in a basket, and he went to
get a bucket instead.

The old man said, 'I don't want a bucket of water; I
want a basket of water.

You're just not trying hard enough,' and he went out
the door to watch the boy try again.

At this point, the boy knew it was impossible, but he
wanted to show his grandfather that even if he ran as
fast as he could, the water would Leak out before he
got back to the house.

The boy again dipped the basket into river and ran
hard, but when he reached his grandfather the basket
was again empty.

Out of breath, he said, 'See Grandpa, it's useless!'
'So you think it is useless?' The old man said, 'Look
at the basket.'

The boy looked at the basket and for the first time
realized that the basket was different.

It had been transformed from a dirty old coal basket
and was now clean, inside and out.

'Son, that's what happens when you read the Qur'an.
You might not understand or remember everything, but
when you read it, you will be changed, inside and out.

That is the work of Allah in our lives.'

Gratitude and Giving Will Lead to Your Success

I am attracted to the above title on how gratitude and giving that will lead to success and would like to share.

Gratitude and Giving Will Lead to Your Success By David J. Pollay Think of some of your life’s achievements. It’s okay. No one’s watching. Go ahead. What accomplishments make you proud of yourself?

Now think about how many of these life accomplishments did you achieve completely on your own? Let me answer that question for you. The answer is, “none.” Our successes always come with help.

The real question is, “Can you name the people who were a part of each of your successes?” Who are they and what did they do? Write down their names. Think about these people.

Now, I’ll bet you’re feeling a bit or even a burst of gratitude. You have just reminded yourself how important others have been to you in your life. You have not traveled alone.

Most of us feel some amount of stress when we think about what it will take to achieve our dreams. We think, “How in the world are we going to get from here to where we hope to be?” Luckily, the answer is, “not alone.” Other people will help us.

So what’s the best way to achieve your life goals? Here’s the first answer. Look to the people who have already helped you. Thank each one personally and privately. Tell them why they are important to you and how they helped you succeed in the past. Let these people know how valuable they are to you. If you feel that you’ve thanked someone before, consider doing it again in an even more meaningful way. Keep these people in your corner. University of Michigan psychologist Christopher Peterson wrote in his book, A Primer in Positive Psychology, “In our experience with many dozens of gratitude letters…they ‘work’ 100% of the time in the sense that the recipient is moved, often to tears, and the sender is gratified as well.”

Gratitude researcher Robert Emmons recently reviewed the growing evidence that feelings of gratitude improve the quality of our lives. In one study he found that people who “wrote up to five things for which they were grateful or thankful” on a weekly basis “exercised more regularly, reported fewer physical symptoms, felt better about their lives as a whole, and were more optimistic about the upcoming week.” Positive Psychology co-founder Martin Seligman of the University of Pennsylvania, and his colleagues also discovered that when people took a few minutes each evening to write down “three good things” that happened to them during the day, their happiness increased and their depressive symptoms decreased.

Emmons found in another study that people who feel gratitude are more likely to help others. Emmons wrote, “Gratitude leads not only to feeling good, but also to doing good.”

So what’s the best way to achieve your life goals? Here’s the second answer. Think about who else could help you. Through a lens of gratitude, think about how you could repay them in advance for their support. What could you do for them now? How could you help them in some way? Your commitment to helping them will demonstrate two things: You care about what they care about, and you appreciate the role they could play in your life.

You will stand out as a giver, and leave the takers of the world standing in line. Your new contacts will be grateful to you. And we know what happens when people feel gratitude.

Gratitude and giving will lead to your success.

May we benefit from this article. All the Best :)

Muharram & Asyura 1429.....

Muharram (Arabic: محرم) is the first month of the Islamic calendar. It is one of the four months of the year in which fighting is prohibited. Since the Islamic calendar is lunar, Muharram moves from year to year when compared with the Gregorian calendar. Muharram is so called because it was unlawful to fight during this month; the word is derived from the word ‘haram’ meaning forbidden. It is held to be the most sacred of all the months, excluding Ramadan. Some Muslims fast during these days. The tenth day of Muharram is called Yaumu-l 'Ashurah, meaning, ‘the tenth day’, and it is a day of voluntary fasting. Fasting differs among the Muslim groupings; mainstream Shia Muslims stop eating and drinking during sunlight hours but do not fast until the evening. Sunni Muslims also fast during Muharram and on either the ninth or the eleventh day, the choice of which additional day being at the discretion of the individual.

The word "Muharram" is often considered synonymous with Ashura. Ashura, which literally means "tenth" in Arabic, refers to the tenth day of Muharram. The religious significance of Ashura, as is relevant to Sunni Muslims who form the majority (85%) of Muslims, can be summarised from a report regarding Prophet Muhammed as follows:

" Prophet Muhammed arrived in Madinah and found the Jews observing fast on the day of ‘Ashura… They said: "It is the day of great (significance) when Allah delivered Moses and his people and drowned Pharaoh and his people, and Moses observed fast out of gratitude. And we also observe it." Then Prophet Muhammed responded: "We have more right, and we have closer connection with Moses than you have"; so he observed fast and gave us orders to observe it." [Reported by Ibn Abbas, Ref: Sahih Bukhari and Muslim]

The Shi'a believe the above hadith to be a fabrication by the Umayyads, after the martyrdom of Imam Husayn, as a part of their campaign to turn the 10th of Muharram into a day of rejoicing. These traditions are of the same genre as those which say that it was on the 10th of Muharram that Noah's ark rested on Mount Ararat, the fire became cool and safe for Abraham, and Jesus ascended to the heaven. In the same category came the traditions exhorting the Muslims to treat 'Ashura as a festival of joy, and to store one's food-grain on this very day as it would increase one's sustenance and bring the blessings of Allah to the household.

The day of Ashura also has the historical significance of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein, which however took place well after the demise of Prophet Muhammed, and should not be confused with the religious significance of Ashura. However the Shia Muslim community attributes religious significances to the day of Ashura connected with this event.
I would like to take the opportunity by saying.......Happy Maal Hijrah 1429....may we suceed.

Selamat Hari Raya Eid ul-Adha

Eid al-Adha (Arabic: عيد الأضحى ‘Īd al-’Aḍḥā) is a religious festival celebrated by Muslims and Druze worldwide as a commemoration of Ibrahim's (Abraham's) willingness to sacrifice his son Ismael for Allah. It is one of two Eid festivals, whose basis comes from the Quran[1], that Muslims celebrate (Muslims in Iran celebrate a third, non-denominational eid ). Like Eid el-Fitr, Eid ul-Adha begins with a short prayer followed by a sermon (khuṭba). It is also called the bigger Eid because it is considered better than Eid el-Fitr[citation needed].

Eid al-Adha is the 10th day of the month of Dhul Hijja (ذو الحجة) of the lunar Islamic calendar. The festivities sometimes last for two to three days more depending on the country. It is the day after the pilgrims in Hajj, the annual pilgrimage to Mecca in Saudi Arabia by Muslims worldwide, descend from Mount Arafat. It happens to be approximately 70 days after the end of the month of Ramadan.

Men, women, and children are expected to dress in their finest clothing to perform Eid prayer (Salatu'l-`id) in any mosque. Muslims who can afford to do so sacrifice their best domestic animals (usually sheep, but also camels, cows, and goats) as a symbol of Ibrahim's (Abraham's) sacrifice. The sacrificed animals, called "udhiya Arabic: أضحية" also known as "qurbani", have to meet certain age and quality standards or else the animal is considered an unacceptable sacrifice. Generally, these must be at least a year old, and weigh 26 st (165 kg or 364 lb). At the time of sacrifice, Allah's name is recited along with the offering statement and a supplication as Muhammad said. According to the Quran a large portion of the meat has to be given towards the poor and hungry people so they can all join in the feast which is held on Eid-ul-Adha. The remainder is cooked for the family celebration meal in which relatives and friends are invited to share. The regular charitable practices of the Muslim community are demonstrated during Eid ul-Adha by the concerted effort to see that no impoverished Muslim is left without sacrificial food during these days. Eid ul-Adha is a concrete affirmation of what the Muslim community ethic means in practice. People in these days are expected to visit their relations, starting with their parents, then their families and friends. (Arabic audio with English meaning).

In the name of God بسم الله
And God is the greatest والله أكبر
O God, indeed this is from you and for you اللهم إن هذا منك ولك
O God accept from me اللهم تقبل مني

Distributing meat among people is considered an essential part of the festival during this period, as well as chanting Takbir out loud before the Eid prayer on the first day and after prayers through out the four days of Eid.

'The Law of the Garbage Truck.'

Beware of Garbage Trucks
by David J. Pollay

How often do you let other people's nonsense change your mood? Do you let a bad driver, rude waiter, curt boss, or an insensitive employee ruin your day? Unless you're the Terminator, for an instant you're probably set back on your heels.

However, the mark of a successful person is how quickly he/she can get back her focus on what's important. Sixteen years ago I learned this lesson. I learned it in the back of a New York City taxi cab. Here's what happened.

I hopped in a taxi, and we took off for Grand Central Station. We were driving in the right lane when, all of a sudden, a black car jumped out of a parking space right in front of us. My taxi driver slammed on his breaks, skidded, and missed the other car's back end by just inches! The driver of the other car, the guy who almost caused a big accident, whipped his head around and he started yelling bad words at us. My taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy. And I mean, he was friendly. So, I said, 'Why did you just do that? This guy almost ruined your car and sent us to the hospital!'And this is when my taxi driver told me what I now call, 'The Law of the Garbage Truck'.

Many people are like garbage trucks. They run around full of garbage, full of frustration, full of anger, and full of disappointment. As their garbage piles up, they need a place to dump it. And if you let them, they'll dump it on you. When someone wants to dump on you, don't take it personally. You just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on. You'll be happy you did.So this was it: The 'Law of the Garbage Truck.'

I started thinking, how often do I let Garbage Trucks run right over me? And how often do I take their garbage and spread it to other people: at work, at home, on the streets? It was that day I said, 'I'm not going to do it anymore.' I began to see garbage trucks. I see the load they're carrying. I see them coming to drop it off. And like my Taxi Driver, I don't make it a personal thing; I just smile, wave, wish them well, and I move on. One of my favorite football players of all time, Walter Payton, did this every day on the football field. He would jump up as quickly as he hit the ground after being tackled. He never dwelled on a hit. Payton was ready to make the next play his best.Good leaders know they have to be ready for their next meeting. Good parents know that they have to welcome their children home from school with hugs and kisses. Teachers and parents know that they have to be fully present, and at their best for the people they care about. The bottom line is that successful people do not let Garbage Trucks take over their day. What about you? What would happen in your life, starting today, if you let more garbage trucks pass you by?You'll be happier! Here's my bet.

So... Love the people who treat you right.
Forget about the ones who don't.
Believe that everything happens for a reason.
If you get a chance , TAKE IT!
If it changes your life , LET IT!
Nobody said it would be easy...
They just promised it would be worth it!

7 Daily Habits

Yesterday was a long day for me. Now it seems my business in Smart Naco is getting easier as the days go by especially with training like last night in Smart Naco Shah Alam, there will be new leaders in the making.

Back then when I was employed by the German firm, once a month without fail I have to present to the new staffs including big bosses in regards to their benefits, claims and leave management, I am not sure what people see in me when I made my presentation years ago. I foresee that the experienced before can still be used in a different way in Smart Naco.Having said that, there are rooms for improvements. (definately)

At this point of time, there are a lot of people out there belief that MLM is a scam. To me whatever they think does not matter, at the end of the day is how u perceive and achive is the most important thing. Think about it, if it does not give good money, would the so called known proffesions like 'Engineer', 'Accountants', 'lawyers' and .... quit their job to pursue and fulfill their dreams in MLM's.

Keep in mind....'For Things to change, I must change first' :) . You can't lead if you don't change and expect people to follow.

Last night my partners like SPD Mat Som, SPD Sharif, PD Normala and PD Fauzan have presented about the 7 daily habits which should be in practice as an MLM player which I would like to share.

7 Daily Habits

1. Reading Books
2. Listening to CD/Watching VCD
3. Product
4. Selling and Sales
5. Meetings
6. Contacting your Uplines
7. Plans.

I will elaborate further tommorow so that the benefits can be shared. In Smart Naco there's a lot of business opportunities as well as wellness, depends on which door you knock and open when it comes. Click Here.

May we succeed in Life....All the best :)
